Not long after, the author 'Sorgelig' closed Issue #101 that I had submitted on github relating to this issue, claiming "most japanese games require japanese bios", followed by a terse retort claiming that "this is not a bug". When I attempted to run it on the MiSTer TGFX16-CD core using an image file of the TurboDuo's Super CD-ROMĀ² System Card v3.01 (US) internal bios, I got a 'WARNING' message similar to what one would see if they attempted to run it using the older CD-ROMĀ² System v2.00 bios on actual hardware. In keeping with the fact that this 'MiSTer FPGA' project was about hardware accuracy and its faithful replication, I decided to attempt to run a test using an ISO image of River City Ransom (SCD). Having previously owned a TurboDuo, I was remembering while playing/testing that (unlike the HuCards) the CD-ROM was a copy-protection/region-protection free 'thing'. Recently picked up a DE-10 Nano to try out the new TGFX16 core and was very impressed with the accuracy.
